A specific type of medical condition that causes a reduction in the amount of testosterone that is produced within the body is known as Hypogonadism. This type of problem occurs when there is a defect in the sex gland known as the gonads that are responsible for secreting the hormone testosterone. Primary Hypogonadism is when there is a problem with the way in which the testes function. Central Hypogonadism is a condition where there is a problem with the specific signals of the brain that work to control the individual’s gonads. This is a condition that not only occurs in grown men, but it can also occur in boys as well. Boys that are suffering from this type of condition generally experience a reduction in their maturity levels. In many cases the individual also suffers from a reduced growth of the genitals.
Boys suffering from this condition generally have no hair growth or very little growth on the pubic area, the legs, the face, and the chest area. As they grow to be a teenager, boys will generally still look as if they are much younger. Some symptoms include low libido, weakness, fatigue, and others.
