Although it is quite normal for a man’s penis to range in position from different angles from the base by as much as 30 to 45 degrees, this is a normal position that may change as a person ages. Unless there is a serious curvature of the penis, this is not a problem that should cause any concern. At certain times in a man’s life, he may notice that the position in which his penis becomes erect is much different than before. This is simply nothing more than a variation in the growth of the body’s internal structures of the penis, and may result in a different form or different size. One medical condition however that can cause an individual to suffer serious symptoms is known as Peyronie’s disease.

This type of disease is known to cause some men to experience a growth of fibrous tissue that will form within the lining of the individual’s erect penis. If you are only experiencing minor changes in the curvature of the penis, it is perfectly normal. However, if you notice a substantial difference in the curvature of the penis, it is important that you consult with a urologist or your family physician.
