How is a STI or Sexually Transmitted Infection Described?

Venereal diseases or VD is the term that most individuals, family health care providers, and various types of medical professionals used as a description for a sexually transmitted disease (STD) and a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The term STD or sexually transmitted disease is a term that is used to refer to several different types of infections that can ultimately cause an individual to suffer from various types of sexual health problems. Sexually transmitted diseases involve any type of condition of the mind or the body that may be considered as abnormal and can cause an individual to experience distress, discomfort, or dysfunction that is a warning signal that they have contracted an STD.

The term STI or sexually transmitted infection refers to a virus, bacteria, and various types of parasites or germs that can be found within a person’s body. There are numerous times when an individual may have acquired some type of sexually transmitted infection and they simply do not experience any type of symptoms that would alert them that they have an STI. This also means that the individual will also not feel as if they have any type of sickness.
